NORTHEASTERN CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS NAMES PETRICE OMELER WIDEMAN AS ASSISTANT PASTOR
Installation Service for Associate Pastor Omeler Wideman to Be Held on June 18th, 2022
MOUNT VERNON, NY— (June 6, 2022)—The Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church Board has announced that Pastor Petrice Omeler Wideman will serve as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Nicardo Delahaye. There will be an Installation Service for both Dr. Delahaye and Pastor Wideman on Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
A New York native, Pastor Wideman is excited to be returning home and to the Northeastern Conference after completing her studies earning a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary. During her time at Andrews University, she served as the Administrative Pastor of One Place Fellowship from 2020-2022 and the Creative Pastor from 2019-2020. Prior to her Divinity studies, Pastor Wideman completed a Master of Arts degree in Communications with a concentration in Advocacy where she collaborated with community leaders and organizers to improve quality of life for underserved communities.
Pastor Wideman is married to the love of her life, Chester Wideman. Together, they have two bright and beautiful daughters Joy and Destiny. In addition, Pastor Wideman is the daughter of pastor, evangelist, and current president of the Atlantic Union Dr. Pierre E. Omeler and the former Myra L. Norman.
A “person of the people,” Pastor Wideman enjoys creating meaningful connections within the church and surrounding community and takes very seriously her calling to serve all those placed on her path regardless of age, cultural heritage, and religious background. “I look forward to joining the Mt. Vernon SDA Church family and working closely with the church and Senior Pastor Dr. Delahaye to continue promoting the love and good news of Jesus Christ,” said Pastor Wideman.
